AgGeorgia Announces Election of Board Chairman, Vice Chairman

AgGeorgia Farm Credit is pleased to announce the election of a new board chairman, Guy A. Daughtrey of Cook County, and new vice chairman, Richard D. “Dave” Neff of Hall County.  Mr. Daughtrey was most recently the Vice Chairman of AgGeorgia’s Board of Directors, having completed two consecutive terms, exhibiting excellent leadership in his former role and in his service as a member and chairman of various committees of the board.

Mr. Daughtrey is a pine timber and pecan farmer and is also an energy systems auditor for Southern Company.  He holds an Associate’s in Accounting from Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College and a Bachelor’s of Business Administration in Business from Georgia Southwestern College.  Mr. Daughtrey has served on the board of directors since 2001, and also completed nine years on the board of directors of Wiregrass Technical College and served as treasurer for Lenox United Methodist Church.  He and his wife, Connie, reside in Lenox, and they have one son, Chase, and two grandchildren.
  
Richard D. “Dave” Neff of Hall County has been an appointed outside Director for AgGeorgia since 2002, most recently serving on the Credit Risk and Audit Committees of AgGeorgia’s Board of Directors, notably being the Chairman of the Audit Committee and formerly serving as the board’s appointed Financial Expert for the Association.

Mr. Neff is a poultry industry marketing and business development executive. He has traveled the world extensively, thus far visiting 86 countries and all 50 states. Neff is a US Army veteran where he was an Infantry Senior NCO and a graduate of several schools including the Drill Instructor Leadership program. He is employed by International Poultry Breeders, Inc./Wincorp International, Inc. as Director of Marketing and Business Development.  Mr. Neff holds a Bachelor’s of Science in Agriculture/Business from Southeast Missouri University and did graduate work in Poultry Science from the University of Missouri-Columbia. Mr. Neff is also a past board member of the Georgia Poultry Association, and is now a Life Member of the Poultry Leaders Roundtable. He and his wife, Karen, reside in Gainesville. They have three children and seven grandchildren.
